The ETP and IDH are hosting TEAM UP 2013, the unmissable tea and sustainability event of the year on June 18 2013, London.
Looking to the future, TEAM UP 2013 will bring key players from the tea industry and development organisations together, to openly discuss the sustainability agenda. Building on existing approaches, the aim of the day is to look at how we can work more closely together, and establish new projects and partnerships to further improve tea sustainability and the lives of tea workers.
The day will focus on three themes:
Perspectives on future challenges and opportunities
- ETP Chairman, Ian Midgley, will host Q&A sessions with Buyer and Producer Panels, to see how future threats and opportunities facing the tea industry are viewed from different parts of the globe, and at different points along the supply chain.
Effective sector-wide transformations
- The World Tea Village provides opportunities to interact directly with ETP and IDH staff and their partners, to discuss the reality of driving change across a range of issues from different parts of the world.
- Gain insight and inspiration from other sectors with IDH Executive Director, Joost Oorthuizen and guest speaker(s) – TBC
Next steps in the tea sustainability jouney
- Sally Uren, Deputy Chief Executive, Forum for the Future, and Sarah Roberts, Executive Director, ETP will share their insights from the Tea 2030 scenarios project, and the ETP’s and IDH’s future planning process to discuss how the tea sector can build on its current sustainability partnerships to address emerging challenges.
Networking opportunities and further discussions will continue at the TEAM UP 2013 dinner.
