Ostfriesische Tee Gesellschaft, Germany’s Leading Tea Producer, Joins ETP

In a positive move for the sustainability of the tea sector, Ostfriesische Tee Gesellschaft (OTG) is the first German tea company to join Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP) boosting ETP’s membership base in continental Europe. OTG were established in 1907 and today they specialise in both branded and private label tea products, and are one of the leading tea companies in Germany.

ETP’s Executive Director Sarah Roberts comments on ETP’s latest member, “OTG have a proud history, and their experience, influence and trusted supply base will help ETP to leverage greater change on the ground. OTG are key a member of the German Tea Association and we are greatly looking forward to the involvement of the German tea trade.”

OTG’s Managing Director, Annemarie Leniger adds, “For us, as a family business, corporate responsibility means engaging in long-term and fair business relationships with our partners as well as managing resources efficiently in our entire supply chain. In collaborating with ETP and its partners, we expect to make faster progress in realising these objectives.”
