Gavin Bailey, Executive Director, Ethical Tea Partnership - 10|05|2005

Gavin Bailey has been appointed executive director of Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP) - a non-commercial alliance of major tea packing companies working together for a responsible and ethical tea supply chain.

With 15 years' experience in Food Retail - having held senior operational and strategic technical roles with various UK retailers including J Sainsbury, he joins the ETP from Safeway.

Gavin has extensive practical experience of implementation and stakeholder engagement, having managed Safeway's Ethical Trade and Corporate Responsibility programmes. 

He has also helped to establish and run several international monitoring and assurance schemes for good agricultural practice, including the UK's Assured Produce Scheme; which aims to promote the safe and environmentally responsible production of fruit, vegetables and salads, and EUREP; which sets out a global framework for good practice for horticultural products.
