Securing tea supply and livelihoods: Adapting to climate change, Kenya

Over the coming decades climate change will affect where and how tea is grown. In Kenya smallholders are particularly vulnerable, and for this reason, ETP and GIZ (the German Development Agency) have developed a three-year partnership to assist 50,000 farmers to adapt.

The case study outlines how climate change will affect the suitability for growing tea in various regions of Kenya, and explores how collaboration between organisations and the building of adaption capacity will increase smallholder resilience to such changes.
